WHO WE ARE
About Courtside: South African racket sports
Play Comes First.
Courtside is a South African racket-sports brand and distribution business built around the people who make sport worth playing.
With padel and pickleball at our core, we bring together Courtside products, selected equipment brands and relationships across the racket-sports community. We serve players and trade partners, with a shared purpose: helping more people find their place in the game and enjoy coming back.
That means thinking about the whole experience. The equipment in your hand. The people across the net. The coach who helps something click. The club that feels like yours. And the conversation that carries on long after the last point.
The people make the game
There is a particular feeling that comes with finding your people through sport. A regular game becomes part of your week. A doubles partner becomes a friend. A new court becomes a place where you belong.
That feeling sits at the heart of Courtside.
We want to stand alongside the people who play, coach, organise, supply and support racket sports. On the court, on the sideline and at the braai afterwards, everyone contributes something to the experience.
Equipment that makes sense for your game
The right equipment starts with understanding how you play, what you need and what you want to spend.
Our range brings Courtside products together with selected brands across equipment, apparel and accessories. Our approach is to help players make informed choices, with clear product information and a focus on suitability, quality and value.
Whether you are finding your feet or refining your game, you should feel comfortable asking questions and confident about the choices you make.
As we develop our own range, we want the needs of players and our partners to guide what comes next. Useful products begin with listening to the people who use them.
Working with the people behind the sport
Every opportunity to play depends on people doing work behind the scenes. Retailers help players choose equipment. Coaches build confidence. Clubs bring people together. League and tournament organisers give them something to look forward to.
These businesses and relationships are central to Courtside.
Distribution and trade are a core part of our business. We work with partners to get products closer to the people who need them, and we welcome conversations with retailers, clubs, coaches, distributors and event organisers who share our approach.
For brands, our ambition is to build lasting connections with the players and businesses that will help them grow. We look for partnerships where the products fit, the values align and there is a clear contribution to the sport.
South African roots
South Africa shapes the spirit of Courtside: resourceful, competitive, welcoming and ready to get things done.
We carry that spirit into how we approach products, relationships and new opportunities. We take sport seriously, and we value the humour, hospitality and friendships that come with it.
As our ambitions reach beyond South Africa, we want that character to travel with us: stay close to people, understand the local game and build relationships that last.
Where we are heading
Our long-term vision is to connect more of the racket-sports world through products, partnerships, experiences and stories.
Padel and pickleball are central to that direction, alongside our relationships in squash and our curiosity about what people will play next.
As Courtside grows, we want to create more opportunities to discover equipment, learn from others and meet people through sport. We see a role for useful content, player and club stories, and new ideas that help racket sports reach more people.
The ambition is international. The principle stays personal: grow in ways that strengthen the experience for the people involved.
